Weekdrop.app
Pick your week's photos and clips; Weekdrop cuts them into 3 ready-to-post reels with a hook, subtitles and transitions.
The story
I had a camera roll full of car photos and clips and never the time to edit them into reels. So I built the tool I wanted: you pick the week's media, and Weekdrop does the boring part.
How it works: an analyzer looks at every photo and clip, an AI "director" (Claude) picks the best moments, writes the hook and decides the order and pace, and a renderer built on ffmpeg cuts three vertical videos with subtitles, motion and transitions. You get three different takes, so you can post one or all of them.
Almost all of it was built with Claude Code: the Laravel app, the render pipeline, the looks (different styles of hook, font and pacing), a small Pro editor to trim clips and add text, and the admin side. The hardest part wasn't the code, it was making the AI choices look like an editor's and not like a slideshow.
It runs in the phone's browser, no app to install. Free gives you one video per drop; Pro gives you all three plus the editor.
