Approval chaser with silence-means-approved log
Send a deliverable link with a review deadline, get automatic polite nudges, and keep a timestamped record if the client goes quiet.
The problem
Freelancers deliver work and the client says 'let me take a look' and then vanishes, which holds up the project and the final payment. On the Fiverr community forum, sellers describe clients who never accept or respond and orders that sit in limbo. They have to keep extending deadlines. Some get auto-completed by the platform, but direct clients have no such mechanism.
Who has it: Freelance designers, video editors, writers and web builders who work with direct clients off marketplaces.
Who pays
The freelancer pays to avoid awkward chasing and to get paid sooner after delivery. · $12/month per freelancer
Charge a flat monthly fee after a free first delivery. Post in r/freelance, designer and video-editor communities, and offer a 'chase-proof delivery' template.
What to build first
- Create a delivery: title, file or link, review deadline, rounds of revisions included
- Client opens a no-login page with Approve and Request changes buttons
- Automatic reminders at 48 hours, at 24 hours before the deadline, and on the deadline day
- Immutable timestamped log of views, comments and approvals
- Optional line saying that silence after the deadline counts as approval, visible to the client up front
- One-click 'send final invoice' email once approved

Build 'NudgeSign', a Next.js + Supabase app for freelancers. A freelancer creates a Delivery with title, external file link (Drive, Dropbox or Frame.io), client name and email, review deadline, included revision rounds, and an optional 'silence after deadline counts as approval' flag. The system emails the client a unique no-login page that shows the link, the deadline and two buttons: Approve, and Request changes with a comment box. Every page view, comment and approval is recorded in an append-only events table with timestamps. A daily Vercel Cron job sends reminders through Resend at 48h before, 24h before and on the deadline day, stopping once the client acts. On the deadline, if the flag is set, mark the delivery 'auto-approved' and email both parties. Add a freelancer dashboard with status chips and a downloadable PDF audit trail. Stripe subscription at $12/month, 14-day trial. Tailwind UI, mobile-first client page.
What could go wrong
Proofing tools such as Ashore already automate reminders, and freelancers may feel their email app is enough. A silence-means-approved clause only helps if the freelancer's contract supports it, and it is not legal advice.
Where we found it
- Fiverr forum: client never confirmed delivery — A seller delivered on time, the client said they'd look, and then there was no word for three days, after which the platform auto-confirmed.
- Fiverr forum: unresponsive client orders — A seller has several orders where the clients no longer respond, even though some were seen logging in, and they have to keep extending.
- Dribbble on follow-up emails (Ashore promo) — A vendor's view that clients who don't take part in review and approval stop creatives finishing on time and getting paid.
